INTEGRATED FARMING SYSTEM

Integrated Farming System (IFS) is a whole farm management system which aims to deliver more sustainable agriculture.  Agriculture can be integrated with livestock and poultry are maintained at same place to generate employment around the year and get additional income.  Integrated Farming combines the maximum components like Mixed fodder, Azolla production, Cow rearing, Poultry rearing, Earthworm production, Vermicompost production, Waste decomposer production  and Honeybee rearing etc. with traditional practices.

Mrs.E.Kavitha, Founder, Farm Pro Agro has well equipped knowledge in Integrated Farming System (IFS) and established maximum components and maintaining systematic manner in the farm and producing quality farm products.

The Department of Agriculture and Horticulture from different districts of Tamilnadu organizes farmers capacity building and exposure programme  to Farm Pro Agro on regular basis for getting knowledge and hands-on training on Integrated Farming System for the benefit of farmers.  Also, the Agriculture College Students are visiting regularly and learnt about the IFS.

During the programme, they expose on different components in Integrated Farming System through Classroom Session and Method Demonstration.   The farmers can be equipped knowledge on preparation of Organic Inputs like Panchagavya preparation, Dhasakaviya preparation, Meen amino amilam preparation, Earthworm rearing techniques, Vermicompost production, Black Soldier Fly compost production and Honey Bee rearing techniques etc. through the method demonstration.
